This is a good video, it's an hour but if people have time I recommend it. Reddit really is shooting themselves in the foot.

Yeah, only a few people may leave now, but it shows that when the core conversation leaves the "fluff" can only sustain you for so long. Facebook lost it's core userbase "Friends wanting to hang out with friends" and it's more or less on life support with ads and marketers, no one goes there to see people they care about anymore.

When the conversation around communities leaves reddit, or people here there's a better conversation happening elsewhere (hopefully here), people will leave to find the better conversation.
