Virtual Photography is the art of taking screenshots and photographs from virtual worlds. This includes video games, and virtual environments.

Virtual Photography uses the same techniques as regular photography, but benefits from things like external tools and the immersive environments that can't otherwise be found in real life.

Rules

The general rules are as follows:

No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.
Game screenshots should ideally not include HUD elements unless it adds to the photograph in some way.
Self-promo is allowed (link your galleries etc), just don't spam.
If you have multiple photographs in a 'set', post one of the images and link to the rest of the set elsewhere instead of making multiple posts or add the images to a single comment on your post.
Do not provide criticism unless asked for. If you would like to receive criticism on your posts, please indicate as such (either in the title or the post description).
No real life photography.
You must include the title of the game in the title of the post or in the post description/comments.

These rules are guidelines and are not fixed rules, just be kind.

What is or isn't a valid virtual photography post?

What isn't:

Regular screenshots of a game (e.g., a print screen whilst the game is playing).

Example of a post not suitable here

A photograph of real life.

(I'm not putting an example for this one)

What is:

A game screenshot making use of either a photo mode, editing, or the use of tools like ReShade etc.
