Welcome!
Hi everyone. It seems that r/vorkosigan has disappeared (ETA: it didn't, it was just dark for longer than I'd expected) and I do miss it. I've never moderated a group before, but I thought I would take a shot at it. Co-moderators are welcome, and frankly if someone wants to take over that's fine with me too.
My name is Sam, and I have been an ardent fan of the Vorkosigan series for many years, relistening to the books over and over again. It is my comfort food, and most nights I fall asleep to the sound of Grover Gardner in my earbud. I identify strongly with Miles as someone with ADHD and a tendency to overplan in compensation, and with Ekaterin as a woman who is getting over past trauma to rebuild her life. I adore the humor and the philosophical insights, and I love how, unlike in many other books, the authority figures (Aral, Cordelia, Gregor, Simon, etc) are mostly kind people who want to do the best job they can.
I hope this magazine is useful and fun for anyone who stumbles across it. Please feel free to introduce yourself here or in a post.
