It doesn't give me enough time to uninstall the display driver before it BYODs again. Suppose I'll need to do it in safe mode, or unplug the GPU completely.
Reinstalled the GPU and I realized I'm only using one cable to connect to the PSU because the cable had two plugs. Installed a second cable instead and it's behaving a little different now!
Note: this was after attempting to install the AMD driver
I'm gonna feel real dumb if I've been having all these crashes because I've been power starving my GPU all this time.
But if that's the case I'm pissed that no where in my GPU or PSU instructions did it say you have to use two separate cables. Why would it work at all without enough power!?
What the fuck man, why is my boot drive suddenly hosed now!? All I did was connect a new wire from my PSU to my GPU and reinstall the GPU drivers. I had to fuck around with #Bitlocker when I disconnected the GPU but it's not asking for my recovery code anymore...
@schizanon Talk about bad to worse. In about 3 more posts I'm expecting you to announce you've accidentally opened an inter-dimensional portal into hell. :(
@schizanon It sounds like you've worked in tech for a while, so none of this comes as a surprise to you. Tech always works flawlessly until you really need it to.
@coupland my partner insists all the computers only work for me because I've put some kind of spell on them. I am using this as an example of how even I don't know what the fuck they are doing!
