Writing can take many forms now a days. Some prefer pen and paper and others prefer word processors. I am curious what !writing uses for their own writing....

So I have been writing since... I can remember, let's say at least 15 years. From short stories about all kinds of stuff to more fleshed out things, I just love expressing myself creatively, you get what I mean right?...

For example, /r/writing has weekly critique and check-in threads, and /r/writingprompts does a theme-based writing contest every Thursday....

I'm a reddit refugee, as I'm sure many will be in the coming days. A technical writer by trade and a smut writer historically, I'm currently working on an epic sci-fantasy romance series. I would love to nurture an active writing community in this new space!...

Like many, I find I can come up with cool setting ideas and various characters, but one thing I struggle with is figuring out how to wrap everything up....

I've been writing fiction for some years now, but there is a non-fiction project I'd wanted to start for a while but I keep postponing it. It's mostly related to my life experiences and I think letting them out would be cathartic and writing a guide that may help other people with the same struggles feels the best way to do it....

Apart from normal editors such as LibreOffice or Word, do you use programs specifically designed to keep track of the characters, places and chapters of your novels or stories? I have never felt the need. I have found OmniaWrite, for example, but I have not tried it yet. Does anyone use it or similar ones? Does it really help?

So, I noticed a problem I have. I have ideas that always, in my head, appear as a vague shape or idea, but I can never get a concrete idea of how something would go. or look I can only detail pivotal moments, but I can never picture the hours in between each event....

Recently I just wrote a characters physical appearance and started jotting down points about the character, I’ve done a few of these before but never have I started off with the appearance....
