I think I'm starting to annoy my friends giggling at everything that's going on, but ffs, watching all the drama this weekend has been fun.
I'm sad to be watching the fall of a site I enjoyed for so long, but the way it's falling is so cathartic. I'm especially loving all the malicious compliance with subs that have been forced to reopen. For nearly two decades, the admins' stance has been "if you don't like the direction a mod is taking a sub, make a new sub," so the era of John Oliver rules and so on is just excellent to see. #reddit
i knew reddit was drowning from some of their questionable ads, like the HeGetsUs hipster Jesus bros and very shitty logos made for shady medical practices. and if you're in the States, constant barrage of GoArmy recruitment ads
gee, reddit ceo, did your more reputable sponsors abandon you due to your greedy bullshit and you had to scrape the bottom of the barrel?
