This now-famous building in Istanbul (Constantinople) has a history spanning centuries, with each floor representing a different era. The foundation is a Roman cistern, which was forgotten and buried due to earthquakes and rising ground levels.

In Roman and Byzantine times, the area was bustling with merchants, and the cistern likely served their needs. Nearby is a historical bath used by Janissaries in 15th-16th Centuries, which may have also been supplied by the cistern during that time.

This beautiful cruciform pendant of the Goddess holding a child in her arms is ingeniously crafted from a soft green stone called picrolite 3900-2500 BC. It was found in the area of Paphos, Cyprus where the deposits of this stone are abundant. The island is also abundant of figurines, statues and temples of the great goddess. It appears that wearing a cross around the neck is a very ancient tradition.

Statue from Lepenski Vir known as the Praroditeljka or "Foremother" was dated 7000 BC. Carved from round sandstone cobble found on the river banks, it was discovered in 1966 and measures 51 x 39cm. Traces of the original red coating pigment are still visible.

The latest radiocarbon and AMS data suggests that the chronology of Lepenski Vir , Serbia spans between 9500/7200 BC and 5500 BC, divided into Early–Middle Mesolithic, Late Mesolithic, Transition and Neolithic.

In Ecuador, Socratea Exorrhiza, known as walking tree, fascinates with its unique ability to "walk". Its aerial roots act as "legs", allowing it to move slowly in search of optimal sunlight.

As soil erodes, it develops new roots that find more stable and fertile soils, facilitating its movement of up to 2-3cm per day.

Although debated by some scientists, this phenomenon shows similarities with other plants, such as Creeping Devil cactus, which also adapts by migrating in desert environments.

Temple has been modified on same site starting as far back as Middle Kingdom (2030-1650 BC). Existing structure began construction in late Ptolemaic period at time of Ptolemy Auletes, 54 BC.
