@lain aah danke schön - but i am curious about local wages as well as that’s also useful for gauging the living standards of the populace

like city A may be cheap but since the wages are so low someone working in industry X may only be able to save 20% of their salary, as compared to in city B which is incredibly expensive but the wages are high enough that a worker can save 40% of their salary

@kaia i mean it’s a common thing with creating stuff in general - sometimes people will enjoy and idolize that low-brow low-effort thing you do while the work that you put alot of effort into and means alot to you personally gets ignored or even reviled

like i feel the older i get the more i am simultaneously aware of the bullshit they’re doing but also willing to play the game in order to benefit

@sun i think what makes this interesting to me personally is just that they were willing to stick this right in the middle of a major metropolis (that is liable to be nuked too) in plain sight

iirc other countries bundle their telco exchanges/glowie monitoring spots all in some rural area near borders or seas or in the middle of nowhere but here it’s like there in new york passed by everyone
