Not sure I’m quite ready to accept Cthulhu art in this community yet…

howtovote.co.uk was probably the site, but it’s not been updated since 2015.

The focus these days seems to be on tactical voting… Maybe that’s why it hasn’t been updated?

when DAB radio skips like a broken CD/record

Sometimes DAB radio stations are playing music that skips like a CD, repeating a short segment like a broken record. It often goes on for quite some time, which is a bit puzzling because surely there is nothing about digital radio tech that would cause this. The skipping never happens during talk radio, only with music....

It’s a bit of an odd one. I’ve not encountered this in the UK. Is it just a particular station doing it?

Must be something to do with their playout I guess. I doubt they are actually playing CDs, and as explained DAB shouldn’t inherently cause this.

On Windows (NT?) you used to be able to send a message across the LAN which would just pop up in a message box. Can’t remember the command. Probably doesn’t work anymore anyway.

LEE MACK'S NOT GOING OUT RENEWED FOR NEW SERIES ON BBC ONE (www.tvzoneuk.com)

Lee Mack’s much loved, multi-award-winning studio sitcom will return for a new series on the BBC in 2025. Not Going Out is the UK’s longest running UK sitcom currently on air and recently joined an elite group of sitcom centenarians when the 100th episode aired during the BBC’s 2023 Christmas schedule.

I found that my colleague had stuck it on an i5 today.

Has anybody tried this on ao486 (MiSTer)?

It used to be automatic, but the Tories changed it. Probably to stop too many students voting for somebody else.

Apparently this is the one thing which is controlled by a single gene, and works as you were taught in school with dominant and recessive traits.

Nothing else does, including the things you were taught like eye and hair colour - they are much more complicated.

Hmm, maybe it’s one per ear?!

I missed them, of course. They are set to return tonight but probably not as good.
