Generative AI hasn't hit the Trough of Disillusionment yet. Right now the cost of delivering these service is heavily subsidized by investor excitement. That likely will not last.

AI will then be declared "dead" or a "bubble," before it comes back in the form that will persist.

I am so tired of game companies (video games and TTRPG in particular) doing mass layoffs after successful years. They fire the very people who made them successful so that executives can pocket the gains.

It's one of the major reasons I make sure most of what I buy is made by independent studios.

I’m going to pull out what’s left of my hair reading articles about EV sales. Has it. Or occurred to any journalist or analyst that they are too dang expensive? US automakers are trying to drive up prices and electrify premium vehicles only.

EVs sale in larger numbers globally in markets where they are affordable. I’d buy a Chinese EV in a heartbeat of if I could.

This whole fiasco reminds me of the BBC book Rage Against the Machine and being surprised when they didn't self censor, "fuck you, I won't do what you tell me," when the producers asked them too.

It's official. The World of Vesser Official Community launched yesterday. Games start tomorrow. Wild that after two years working on this project behind closed doors for two years, people will actually be making their own characters in the world tomorrow.
