Dynamic lists setting?
Maybe I'm just missing it, but I can't figure out what the Dynamic Lists setting does on the view settings menu. I checked the User guide in docs but I didn't see any explanation of it there either. No hover text, etc......

I noticed that on Beehaw.org and lemmy.ml the upvote count is different is it just an incompatibility with lemmy is or are the upvotes counted on the server independently?
Is this possible? Right now if someone posts a link, the domain of the linked site shows up in the feed, but it's not the actual link but rather the d/domain aggregation link (which is neat). But there does not seem to be a way to open the link without opening the article first. Only then, by clicking on the title or thumbnail...
Just a suggestion to allow us to change a setting where upvotes are on the right side of an article. When using mobile, it would be much easier to upvote articles using my right thumb without reaching my thumb across the screen.
I want to start by saying that I really like kbin so far. The process of searching for new communities to follow feels way better then reddit. The barrier of entry compared to other federated sites was much easier to overcome, which is the main thing I think is holding the Fediverse back from mainstream adoption. The fact...
I've noticed a minor issue when trying to subscribe to a Lemmy community. On the Lemmy instance, the link format for a Community starts with an exclamation mark ("!"), instead of the "@" used here and across other services like Mastodon....
Does anyone have the skills/ inclination to fork this for Kbin? https://github.com/rileynull/RedditLemmyImporter
Is it possible to add MFA support to kbin account? I really wish to have MFA on my account. TIA.
Is there any way to collapse comments on pc?
Hello, been using kbin for the past couple hours. Really impressed with a lot of the UI, but running in to a few issues. The one that is sticking out to me is being able to only see posts the magazines that I am subscribed to....
Is this a known issue? I haven't gotten any notifications when people replied to my comments or posts.
Many might not know, but the developers of Lemmy are communist tankies - and i'm not joking - that spread propagranda and misinformation. They for example deny the genocide of the Uighurs in China as it is a "hoax perpetated by the western propagandists"....
Thanks to @dansup, kbin stats are now supported.
Maybe...
Hi everyone, You may have noticed a small change on the website. From now on, upvotes work just like on Lemmy - they are equivalent to Mastodon's "favourite." You can boost a post using the button that replaced "favourite." Another change is that you can now rate and boost your own posts. Boosting has a one-time effect - it...
On Lemmy, comments are not truly deleted, but hidden for all except instance admins. Also, deleted comments will still be present (they just say something to the affect of "deleted by user") and still show the poster's username even after the poster's account is deleted....
Hello,...
What's the best way for us to chip in and help fund Kbin's development or the hosting costs for kbin.social?
Hey all - just started using kbin today as I'm not 100% happy with Lemmy and really enjoying it so far. I also use Mastadon a fair bit, and it'd be awesome to just use kbin for all my social media needs going forward, but I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a way to follow hashtags on the microblogging portion of the site...
Blind redditors, and others who use assistive technology, rely on third-party apps so are looking around for alternatives. Is /kbin currently a good match for them?
Hi everyone, it seems that we have quite a gathering here, and many of you I haven't had the chance to greet yet :) As some of you may know, /kbin is still in its early stages of development. Every day, improvements and new features are being worked on. Unfortunately, this may result in occasional short downtimes. However, the...
I subscribed to a few "magazines", but my "frontpage" has stuff from magazines I haven't subscribed to, hence the topic....
For example: I tried to search all 3 communities from sopuli.xyz featured in this comment https://kbin.social/m/lemmy@lemmy.ml/t/2938/Which-subreddits-would-you-most-like-to-see-on-Lemmy/comment/6790/...
I'm having an issue when trying to comment on posts (or reply to other comments) on Firefox mobile on Android. Once the top of the text box moves above the confines of the screen, the whole page snaps downward so that the text box is off screen entirely. It makes it nearly impossible to type out longer comments....
I see on the project website that the apps are coming soon, but I also see a link for development versions that won't expand for me. Is the link broken or is it just placeholder for now? What kind of timeline are we looking at before an application will be available? Will there be an alpha or beta we can sign up for?...
