one day after installing Monterey on one of my production machines

this is why i am extremely leery about ever touching newer versions of . ffs.

edit: could be OpenCore related. will remove that since i don't need it on this particular model

@vga256 I recall seeing the same error on occasion under Monterey and OCLP. Once I upgraded to Ventura, I never saw the message again.

@rikerjoe yup is apparently fairly common. i removed OCLP since my mac pro 6,1 natively supports Monterey, and the issue went away

@vga256 Isn't waning about possible data corruption a good thing?

I took two disks a friend has been using in Windows RAID for a year and put in a ZFS zvol and instantly ZFS started flagging issues with the drive that Windows was just ignoring.
