On Twitter, I rarely curated my timeline, and so ended up with all sorts of toxic people on it. Mastodon taught me how to curate better. That's not because Mastodon is overly full of drama and creeps. Quite the opposite, actually. People here taught me lovingly to take better care of this part of my mental health, and drama and creeps are so comparatively rare that I stopped seeing it as normal.

Well I'm quite upset. It seems the test @RickiTarr posted is inaccessible. The "next" button doesn't show up as a clickable item, so when I try to click on it nothing happens. I guess I'm not allowed to do what the cool kids are doing, influence anyone, or even just have silly fun on the internet anymore. Mentioning the fate I think should befall people who make these simple things inaccessible would get me banned from the internet.

When I was a kid in the late 80s/early 90s, my mom liked to buy Avon. One thing we had was a tape of Christmas music. Whenever I look up Avon Christmas music, I get the same old treasury with people like Dolly Parton, Bing Crosby, Etc, but that's not at all what we had. Here's what I remember.

If you grew up believing in Santa and living in an apartment, how did Santa get in? In my mom's generation he came up through the dumbwaiter, but for me he came in through the fire escape.

@RickiTarr Ooh, I like a lot, but I'll say cherry vanilla. I also like handheld ice creams, like bars with chocolate coating. If it's in a bowl though, it's gotta have chocolate sprinkles!

Lately my hobby has been browsing the "just in" section of fanfiction.net. I'm not even in the mood to read anything necessarily, but at least once a day I like to look through it and see which fandoms are getting attention. I'm happy when I see an update in a smaller fandom, even when it isn't one of mine. Hey, there are people out there who like it, and now it'll be easier to find the fandom and they'll have more to read!

@evan I have noticed the reply guy problem increasing a bit, but it hasn't been that extreme for me. On the other hand, I've noticed my overall engagement growing less. I spend a lot more time on here lonely than I used to.
