John Fetterman Staff Confirm Senator Has Successfully Respeced Entire Character (hard-drive.net)

WASHINGTON – Members of John Fetterman’s staff confirmed today that the Pennsylvania senator has successfully completed a total re-speccing of his entire character, including his personality, policies, and collection of ill-fitted gym shorts....

I struggle with this too because the (and I will age myself with this phrase) yellow pages features baked into maps is one of the most helpful tools Google ever melded together. The removal of those extra clicks and copy and paste make it a pain to move from. I try and help with Open Street Maps, but the sheer volume of data is hard to overcome.

In this vein, I saw a comment on Lemmy that speaks to this. I’m paraphrasing but it really woke me up. The person said that Americans choose on edge cases and not standard use case. I realized I felt that way about ICE cars vs EV and I am a cyclist. It is amazing how we can have blinders on.

Quality systems or management cause I’m both and do all the time?

If the Secret Service existed when Andrew Jackson was the President, we would already have had this figured out.

That is a fun fact. A personal fun fact is I remember that the Secret Service is part of the Treasury department because of the cult classic, Wild Wild West.

Edit: spell check

I agree with your point here but, being the 12 year old I am, here’s the meme. https://midwest.social/pictrs/image/3dc4875c-b844-468f-8f20-58a91ea799c7.jpeg

The crux of the issue, in my opinion, comes down to those who have been victimized before. Without painting with too broad a brush, men like myself, have a had time viewing the question in the same lens. We don’t experience victimization in the same rates or as the omni-present threat that is learned via experience or indoctrination by others who have been victimized. Its a form of dog whistle men cannot normally hear. I dont choose the word dog whistle for the emotional impact but the base idea of the concept. We arent aware because that sense iant built up over time. That’s why its important for all those who are victimized that aren’t middle class white women to speak up. I know many do and they are ignored but we dont have to be that way. Dispelling that notion requires stories that don’t fit that narrative to blow out the mold and make use reckon with the reality.

I love Behind The Bastards and It Could Happen Here. They do have significant episode counts. BtB does a great and looooooong series on Henry Kissinger that I think is a prime example of what you are going to get. If you listen to that one and don’t enjoy, I would move on from them.

Yes, it does. I have used it successfully for months. My main issue is I need traffic data due to a new job and figuring which route to take. AFAIK, no other nav app has traffic data. That’s the only real bummer.

Hey. This a great write-up. I used to carry a cheap pocket knife for years but fell out of practice. Your breakdown got me back into the habit and I picked up this knife. Can’t wait to see how it performs!

Without the capitalization, I read ChromeOS as Chromeos and that made me think its the new hottest breakfast cereal.

I really like this idea. I am going to mention it to my partner. We have been trying to craft a policy for it recently.

If you know where that chip goes, you could bodge straight to it as well. 3V should be fine. I would imagine tx Rx would be point to point as well. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

InevitableWaffles,
@InevitableWaffles@midwest.social avatar

So, let me explain. The trace that breaks from the VCC of the P8 IC goes up and to and through a few holes. Those holes lead into the the board to get the needed 3V. You can also go bodge wire from the VCC leg of the P8 direct to the pin 2 of the ESP. You are reading the schematic correctly.

InevitableWaffles,
@InevitableWaffles@midwest.social avatar

Yes, bodge wire from the leg of the IC with the busted VCC pad to the 3V leg of the ESP as laid out in the document.
