I just threatened to legally change my six year old daughter’s name to “Hagrid” if she didn’t get in the shower.

Went to a Lego show today. I had a great time!

A Lego model of an LNER train passing through a station. The train is blurry because of the speed.
A large scale model of a German castle made from Lego. The gate house is red with sand turrets. The main castle is white with blue roves. The caste is in a mound with bushes and trees.

Much excitement today: I got to help this awesome across the road. It was slipping all over the place, so I stood close by so it could get a boost off my boot. Unfortunately I also accidentally stepped on its tail tip, poor thing, after which it was less inclined to trust me to be helpful. But we got there in the end. Gorgeous beast. (I don’t know Greek snakes, but I do know enough to be very sure that this is not venomous.)

As I was flying back from London, I got some iMessages from my wife with pics that didn’t download because w on plane WiFi, and then a message that says “Call me as soon as you can.”

I turned my cell service back on at ORD with trepidation, but apparently we just used all the good karma we’ve accumulated for about the last decade.

Somehow, our house is in one piece and nobody got hurt.

The other side of our house, with the boom resting on our fence and cars in a neighboring parking lot, again probably a foot over our roof.

Because I want to know what the swivel-eyed loons are thinking during this election period I subscribed to a Daily Mail podcast. It was like going through a portal into a mirror world. Absolutely deranged and sickeningly flattering of Sunak in a way that would make most tories blush. It was a difficult listen, but I can completely imagine the kind of people who agree with what’s being said.

Screenshot of my Springboard in 2015. Crazy how much things have changed.

Pocket is the only app in the screenshot that remains. Twitterrific will go down as one of the greatest iOS Apps ever created but was destroyed by that asshole Space Karen when he took over Twitter.

I want JavaScript disabled most of the time on a certain domain, but occasionally I want to re-enable it, generally just on a single page until I navigate away/refresh. As far as I understand from stop the script, the only way to do this is to delete the page in the Safari extensions settings then give access again in the extension on the page. Which is quite a long way round.

@lapcatsoftware I see. Is there not a way there could be a toggle control on this screen that would enable JavaScript for this domain temporarily?
Changing the setting in the Safari settings is just a lot of steps - especially as the settings app doesn’t maintain your place in the hierarchy.
