@rolenthedeep it's actually simply a form of ternary expressions, like I think in C++ it'd be something along the lines of this probably, which you can then easily wrap in function call parenthesis all the same:
device = torch::cuda::is_available() ? "cuda" : "cpu"
Reading into tuning cars, and slowly starting to get an idea of how it's done, and now I'm really tempted to buy a KESS v2 or KTAG or alike set to try and reprogram my ECU and see what I can get out of that little Twingo GT.
If I'm mistaken all you have to do is:
Take the ECU out of the car
Hook up the KESSv2/KTAG according to the pinouts you can find online
Backup the current mappings
Start editing the throttle/boost/injector/etc mappings
@anthropy Renault Twingo 0.9 TCE GT 110hp chip tuning can be done in two ways - through the OBD2 diagnostic connector or through the engine control unit (ECU). Increasing the power of the vehicle is done by remapping car engine.
@VickForcella I appreciate the thought, but wrong twingo (I have gen 2), and I meant to create my own mappings, these folks seem to sell mappings x3 I'm also not sure how much you can do through the obd2, there's the official retailer solution, renaultclip or something, but these have limits, the Bosch ECU that's in there should be able to go much further, especially because I physically modified the engine quite a bit :drgn_3c_evil:
I actually kind of fear for India and similar regions. A record of 52.3°C in May is alarming, but what if August brings the world's first 60°C? Current records, mostly around 54°C from 2016 and some as high as 55/56°C from 1931/1913, show the trend. The 2015-2016 El Niño drove many of those extreme temperatures, and the ongoing El Niño, with average global temperatures at an all-time high, is being compared to that event. We need to help fellow people navigate the heat.
I mean 60C is of course improbable, something around 55-56C is more likely, but it's also not completely out of this world if you consider 52.3C in May.
Oh man, I almost had a fire in the kitchen while I was at work;
I get home, loud constant beeping noise that turned out to be the induction hob, error E06, indicating it was overheating and shut off at some point
I had left a pan on it the day before, a clean one luckily, which now has scorchmarks and darkened anti-stick coating
the reason the induction hob turned on was because the extractor hood was LEAKING WATER onto the induction hob controls, turning it on while it was raining today.
me: crunches down on some old dutch candy
candy: explodes in glassy shards all over everything
me: oh I guess this is more like a lollipop than something you're supposed to crunch
me: continues crunching away
Bought some classic dutch sugary candies at the local yearly market yesterday, was talking with the seller and he was "I also have a really big one, it's the last one and it's broken in half so you can have it for cheap if you'd like" and long story short I have a 1.5M long kaneelstok now
