Just got our energy bill from Octopus Energy. 28th April to the 27th May. For some reason the gas is 11th May until the 27th May.

Electricity Import - £39.29
Gas Import - £18.55
Electricity Export - £47.46

Total bill - £10.38. Very happy with that. A few more decent solar days and we would have covered the whole bill.

We are still in credit with £126.84 in our account. This months direct debit will be zero.

I am trying out my new Elgato Game Capture Neo connected to my M1 MacBook Air and an XBOX Series X. I am getting no signal in the OBS software. QuickTime is the same. The TV is showing the video from the XBOX Series X fine. Any ideas?

@spitfire It says it should work with Apple Silicon. Strangely they don’t provide a USB-C to USB-C cable, but say, don’t use a hub. I used an Anker cable.

The Elgato firmware update app can see the device. I connected my MacBook Pro to the device and that had no signal either. It passed through fine to the TV.

@spitfire I fixed it in the end. I hadn't used their cable as it was USB-A to USB-C and I didn't want to use a hub. Turns out my USB-C to USB-C cable wasn't a data cable even though it worked with my external SSD.

Once I used their cable, all was good.

@spitfire It did, it didn’t need a firmware upgrade. It seems the cable wasn’t fast enough. It was an Anker cable and it did say it was a charging cable.

After a bit of a frustrating weekend getting my Echo Atom to attached to Home Assistant. That is now done. I made a customer wake word. It was not working, then a few hours later it did work, not it has stopped again.

It was also hit or miss if it would actually do what I told it. It would tell a lamp on, but not off. The same command worked via text. Any ideas?

@vwbusguy When was the alert sent that the first drive failed? I must admit, I made a few datacentre visits only to find a drive had failed and we missed the alert. We always kept spare drives there.
