Multi-boot utility Ventoy updated to 1.0.98 - Fixes for Arch Linux, KAOS, RHEL9 (github.com)

Ventoy is an open source tool to create bootable USB drives for ISO/IMG/VHD(x)/WIM/EFI files. With Ventoy, you don’t need to format the disk over and over, you just need to copy the disk images to the USB drive and boot them directly. You can have multiple images on the disk and Ventoy will give you a boot menu to select them....

Personally use Ventoy for non-Linux ISOs (ie: Windows), and everything else Linux-y I install through the netboot.xyz ISO image with Ventoy. I rarely need to update my USB stick that way, and most systems I have to deal with have access to the Internet.

Not a bad move, Google already does it for Workspace admins, and GitHub is about to do so for accounts with specific capabilities.

I hope my country will push in the same direction as the EU, the restrictions are ridiculous.

I’d be okay for it not to have multiplayer on GOG.

The Internet is only a catalyst. It’s like a megaphone that anyone can use and extend their reach. The scary thing is when you realize that the village idiots of the world are now able to talk to eachothers.

That’s the kind of movie that definitely doesn’t need a sequel, as much as I liked the original…

If you clearly define your needs, it won’t be hard to figure out which version you’ll want. Then you don’t really have to manage those office installations as long as you have enough licenses in the pool.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, you’ll likely want to have something to centrally manage these computers, so something like Intune + EntraID to deploy softwares, manage the user account, etc will be an added cost.

Then Lemmy might not be the platform you’re looking for.

I’ve been on Lemmy for about 5 years on my OG account, and?

    You’re posting about US politics in a community related to a Canadian political party. It’s not that people don’t care, it’s that it’s irrelevant and off-topic.

    You can even use Markdown file and convert it dynamically to HTML using javascript through Markdeep by just dropping

    <span style="color:#323232;"><!-- Markdeep: --><style class="fallback">body{visibility:hidden;white-space:pre;font-family:monospace}</style><script src="markdeep.min.js"></script><script src="https://casual-effects.com/markdeep/latest/markdeep.min.js?"></script><script>window.alreadyProcessedMarkdeep||(document.body.style.visibility="visible")</script>
    </span>

    at the end of the markdown file. It makes it dead simple to update using a text editor later on and to host on a static website.

    Which type of device are you going to run it from? A Raspberry Pi, an emulation handheld, etc?

    You simply use this method to flash Batocera for x86_64 and make the MicroSD card bootable.

    Make sure to turn off secure boot to be able to launch it at the computer startup.

    You can upload file to the live system using WinSCP on Windows, or any other SFTP-capable software

    wiki.batocera.org/winscp

    For bulk sets I don’t really have any other places but to look for them on torrent or on the web archive.

    You should be able to upload the files into the live system yes.

    I suppose it will.

    Those instances usually gets the defederation treatment from the majority of Lemmy servers out there. They often degenerate from free-speech to hate-speech real quick.
