satanmat,

I get (I’m pissed off that) they do it. Business are shit; but we know that….

What really pisses me off; in to a white hot RAGE?!!?

  1. Only 1 in 4 repeat wage theft offenders get fined, despite violating federal wage laws more than once.

WT actual F

Why are they not being fined 10x ???

Gdism

satanmat,

A fine means that it is legal for a price

satanmat,

You only have red? Oh, I was looking for some sweet yellow…

satanmat,

Correct.

Would you like to see Walmart change ?

STOP SHOPPING THERE.

That’s it. Sure, explain to friends and family all the evil they do. But stop shopping there

satanmat,

All families would be eligible to contribute up to $2,500 per year.

Most of us don’t have $2500 per year to save !!!

satanmat,

I hear you.

Being able to search and read was the hardest part (read as not at all difficult)

99.9 % of my computer usage is FF and libreoffice.

Other than (maybe) initial setup there is nothing stopping “your mom” from being able to have Linux as a daily driver.

Microsoft is for some reason $$$$ shooting them selves in the foot they seem hell bent on making windows unusablely crappy. Oh look enshitification.

satanmat,

Kinda yeah. Like many things it is complex.

Back in the day… I was so chuffed when MS released 95, and 98 and was amazed at 2000.

But yes 8 was a horror show, and to that point— is anyone excited about a new release?

When there is really nothing wrong with XYZ machine running 10; but it is not supported in 11 and your EOL on 10; yeah there’s nothing compelling me to want a new computer

MS for a short while was or seemed happy for people to use 365 , but to me it seems like they are just shitting on windows as an os.

After the only hospital in town closed, a North Carolina city directs its ire at politicians (apnews.com)

Weeds have punctured through the vacant parking lot of Martin General Hospital’s emergency room. A makeshift blue tarp covering the hospital’s sign is worn down from flapping in the wind. The hospital doors are locked, many in this county of 22,000 fear permanently....

satanmat,

Quorum Health shut down Martin County’s 43-bed hospital, citing “financial challenges related to declining population and utilization trends,”

We’ll make more money if we let you die.

Yes profit is killing our medical system

satanmat,

No.

And in other news Jaws highlights men bonding over deep sea fishing.

satanmat,

And as soon as that’s working; they’ll break something else

satanmat,

Don’t try it… that Grim guy keeps winning…

satanmat,

Cats 2 : Electric Boogaloo?

Cats2 Rum Tum Tigger’s revenge

satanmat,

Make me a 1968 beetle, that’s electric

B a s i c A F. Please

Yes there are expensive bits and bobs in a car but how about fewer how hard is that?

satanmat,

Parking lots. Oh yes please.

Stop solar heating the blacktop and our cars. Allow us to park in the shade and offset your store’s electric bill.

Seriously parking lots are such low hanging fruit

satanmat,

Well that’s kinda where the book ends. I find it odd they want to continue…

I was a fan of the 80s version… and maybe I’ve become stupid in my old age … but I missed the relationship between Mariko and Anjin. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

But damn was it beautiful

satanmat,

Are you my in my family?

I’ve given it great thought… both of my parents were … bad; and are not doing well , I live far away from them and have pondered what I’m going to do.

Honestly as I’ve cut them out of my life, for me and mine, I could not care less about them. When they go, I’ll be fine. Yes I’m a cold jerk when it comes to them.

satanmat,

Cliff Claven (John Ratzenberger) was in there. I suppose head trauma would explain his penchant for incorrect information later in life…

satanmat,

I’m 100% pro union…

Are there any (lol) good faith reasons to not vote yes?

No really. I can’t think of any; and I was looking to ? Steel man the argument…

I’m assuming that all the ones that I’ve seen from the business side are not in good faith — well that and they are laughable…

satanmat,

!!!

Ooo yes thank you. Because no corporations have ever (Enron) done anything wrong, ever.

Sorry. So ensuring that Unions are accountable to their members

satanmat,

This so much…

Also let them, the customer service person know that they were Awesome

satanmat,

Was is a Brie larsony

I hope he made a Gouda escape

He beat them black and Bleu

satanmat,

lol. I love that…

Yo we might be out there, and yeah they kinda started out being with us, but damn now? Yeah they are crazy, and we want nothing to do with them

satanmat,

As always the correct answer is … “it depends “

Ubuntu and mint are fine for new users…

If you hand a new driver a car, you’d want them to have a more simple reliable car. Key in , start, drive turn brakes… etc.

But if you want to: tune the fuel air mix; lower the rear tire pressure for grip; or adjust gear ratios… then you can give them Arch or Gentoo

Similarly to windows or mac; Ubuntu and mint mostly just work, and kinda just do what it says on the tin.

satanmat,

2330 PDT and it was faint but visible, cameras really make it pop far more than what it looks like to the naked eye.

The videos you’ve seen where it is this waves of light shimmering in the night sky…. They’re kinda BS. As I said the camera and a longer exposure makes it pop. And time lapse shows the motions

As I said we could see it. It was dark but nowhere near pitch black but the camera made it amazing
