10.9.4 is a mess. Images gone, skins mixed up (black text on dark grey), home buttons hidden behind hamburgers. Yeah!

Maybe it's the skin's fault? Could be incompatible. I tried some skins on 10.9.1 two weeks ago and only few really worked.

Oh well, yes, sometimes I'm also missing images and need to reload the page. I think this was similar before 10.9.x, could be worse now.
Don't know exactly.
As I only use the web UI for administration I don't care so much about it.

This is pricey (and glass, really??), but I kind of love the idea: some benefits of a fitness tracker & smartphone for kids, w/o the smartphone. Plus a Tamagotchi!

My oldest kid is a bit young for something like this, but Internet access freaks me out—yet I’d love for them to be able to contact me if they need. Other options in this space are clunky/ugly, so it’s refreshing to see something this polished here.

Like other non US guys I can't see this product.
In Germany there's Anio with a small collection of half-smart watches for kids.
No cheap China junk, no games installed, just some useful features for school kids. Phone and chat only with preselected people, but not during school hours. SOS button. Position tracking in configurable intervals, except during school commute with 1min fine updates. Etc.

Noch ein Thema. Ich sehe jetzt immer mehr beim Entgendern der deutschen Sprache diesen Doppelpunkt.
"Teilnehmer:innen" statt "Teilnehmer*innen"

Für alle, denen das vielleicht nicht bewusst ist. Der Doppelpunkt hat keine Bedeutung, der Stern sehr wohl. Der Stern steht zB in der IT für eine Wildcardsuche *.doc sucht mir alle Worddokumente bis 2003 zusammen. Deswegen haben wir uns für das Sternchen entschieden. @somlu1968 @nicosemsrott Und einfach Entgendern nach Phettberg? Ist man dieses Problem los, es ist quasi neutralisiert.
In der Tat habe ich mir über die Bedeutung des Trenn- oder Verbindungszeichens (gibt ja z.B. noch die Unterstrich-Variante) noch keine Gedanken gemacht - bzw. diese Bedeutung bisher noch nicht wahrgenommen.

@Gafurr @TwraSun Ja, ich bin auch kein Freund von SUVs, aber das ist irgendwie etwas schwammig, fast schon populistisch. Was ist mit anderen Fahrzeug-Typen zum Vergleich? Und spannender als so eine Summe ist dann vielleicht auch eher ein Vergleich des Durchschnitts-Verbrauchs verschiedener Fahrzeug-Typen?

@Gafurr @TwraSun Ok, auf der von einer anderen Person verlinkten Quelle (unter iea.org) kann man zumindest nachvollziehen, wie viel SUVs im Vergleich zu "normalen" Autos verkauft wurden. Spannend fände ich dann dennoch auch einen Balken für die Nicht-SUV-Gruppe.

Ich fände eine Bewertung anders als "prima" oder "hoch" sinnvoll. Oder zumindest eine Legende oder Erläuterung dazu.
Wüsste jetzt spontan nicht, was besser ist. Wird wahrscheinlich jeder anders sehen?

Naja, im Prinzip schon. An sich bin ich ein visuell veranlagter Mensch und gucke auch erst auf die Farben. Nur Farben passt (sofern man da nicht fehlsichtig ist!).
Aber in Kombi mit der schwammigen Bewertung bin ich aus dem Tritt gekommen.

ist ne coole Sache und ich mag das Projekt.

Trotzdem hat es so seine Macken. Und die sind nicht ohne: Beispielsweise fängt die offizielle App beim Musikplayback an, zu stottern. Nämlich dann, wenn sie nicht mehr im Hintergrund läuft.

Das Problem ist bekannt und liegt wohl daran, dass die App in Grunde nur ein Webbrowser ist, der dann von Android schlafen gelegt wird.

Aber trotzdem. Das ist doch eine absolut grundlegende Funktion. Dass das so schlecht funktioniert, frustriert.

Für Videos auf Android nutze ich Findroid.
Ja, die offizielle App kann Audio und Video beides nicht so optimal.
Aber das ist ja das Gute bei Open Source mit offenen Schnittstellen: kann sich ein Ökosystem entwickeln mit verschiedenen, teils besseren Apps von anderen Anbietern/Projekten.

Unter Linux spiele ich nach Supersonic gerade mit Feishin als Anwendung für die Musikbibliothek herum. Ist eher fett (Electron), aber sieht ganz nett aus und bedient sich gut. Weiß noch nicht, wo ich da bleibe.

Mein Jellyfin Server auf einem Rock64 hat jetzt tatsächlich fast 10 Minuten gebraucht, bis er nach einem Kaltstart wieder verfügbar war. Das ist mir zu lang.

Auf der anderen Seite - wenn er mal läuft, dann reicht der Rock64 für Musikstreaming leistungsmäßig völlig aus.

Will aber eigentlich gerade kein Geld für neues Spielzeug ausgeben :S

Also bleibt's wohl erst mal dabei ;-)

Mir ist nichts aufgefallen, habe seit dem Update aber auch erst einmal gebootet. Habe aufs erste Patch-Release gewartet und bin dann bei 10.9.2 erst eingestiegen.
Und es läuft auf einem Fujitsu Futro Thin Client, der ein wenig performanter sein könnte als Dein System.

Currently 561 albums, 327 artists and 6.705 songs.
Gets more from time to time as I'm ripping all my CDs to FLAC to store best quality in Jellyfin. Still 100-150 discs to add.

Uargh. Eben eine lange Teams-Sitzung mit nem Kollegen absolviert und gegen Ende - er teilte seinen Bildschirm - sehe ich auf seiner Firefox-Startseite Links zu Tichys Enblick und Reitschuster angepinnt. Besucht er wohl regelmäßig.
Da kam mir kurz die Galle hoch.
Leider war ich nicht wirklich überrascht. Hat früher schon öfter sowas durchblicken lassen und u.a. über schwierige Ausländer und überflüssiges Gendern "referiert".
