It's six months exactly since I first signed up properly to Mastodon (well, I had set up an account on one of the big instances earlier and then noped out almost immediately), and I have to say it's been the most fun I've had on the internet for a really long time. I've semi-drifted away from most other places, but I really like it here, and I hope it continues.

Thank you all for being your interesting, silly, thoughtful, entertaining, wonderful selves and making this place what it is.

It's time for your daily dose of doggos.

A black and white dog is "trapped" behind a gate and can't get out, and needs assistance from a friend, though the gate is actually open and there is plenty of space. A larger dog comes along and walks through the gap, which causes the smaller dog to get most excited. After a few seconds, both dogs walk back out through the gap and head off for doggy adventures.

This is very cool. A couple of weeks ago, after seeing someone slip on an ice covered path, I e-mailed the town council to ask if they would consider installing a hand rail in this park, as the path is very steep in places. Looks like they not only considered it, but have actually done it. Well done Aberystwyth Town Council!

Now that the last chicken has reached its new home, I can share this, which is all the chickens I've made. When I started my first chicken 3 months ago, I didn't realise I was going to make 6 in a very short time. Thank you all for humouring my obsession these past few months. I'm going to take a break now, but maybe I'll make another one if there's someone who really needs one.

I can, and will, stop doing ridiculous things with chickens soon, but today is not that day.

(I should note, I do not observe Easter in any meaningful sense - I'm not Christian, I do not have children, and mostly I see next weekend as a much needed long weekend. But I do like ridiculous decorations.)
