I swear some kind of cartoon creature has taken up residence in my nasal passages, because there's a regular stream of little squeaky noises coming from them. Alternatively, it could be the world's smallest broken concertina. Anyway, it's weird.

Morning pawb. I'm still here, I'm still coughing, but I think I'm going to try doing a few hours of work today. It's so much easier to do this since working from home became an acceptable thing. I hated that time when ill when you're starting to feel better and able to do stuff, but doing stuff meant having to schlep into the office because lower grades like me couldn't be trusted to work anywhere but from a fixed desk in a fixed building.

@purplepadma @helenclayton I've practically feasted today! Breakfast was 3/4 of a bagel with marmalade (I was still feeling rough at that stage); then Heinz tomato soup for lunch, some haribo late afternoon, and pasta salad for tea.

I've been having Mastodon-influenced dreams these past couple of nights. Monday was all about dealing with notifications and matching them up to posts, with the aim of streamlining them down to just one set.

Last night was all about Myfanwy and friend. I swear every time I turned over there was a vision of the two of them just watching and waiting. Plus @eclectech and @TheBreadmonkey were planning some kind of road film extravaganza for the two of them. Odd, most odd.

@helenclayton I've barely been eating these past couple of days - it takes too much energy, and my appetite has mostly disappeared. I did manage a bowl of wonton soup and a couple of sesame prawn toasts this evening though, and didn't have to fight my way through to eat it.

Mowed the stupid lawn. Another good thing about getting rid of that lawn, if I could do so, would be that it might stop people letting their dog shit on it.

Why would you let your dog shit on someone's lawn anyway? And not pick it up? The fuck is wrong with some dog owners?

I love dogs, I've had dogs in the past, I wouldn't dream of letting one shit on someone's lawn.

@RolloTreadway People are so lazy and annoying at times.

Someone has taken to using bright pink spray paint to highlight dog poo on a street here. They're not cleaning up the dog poo though, just making it and the pavement pink. I'm not sure they've really thought the whole thing through.
