Extended is the only way to go! Loving the dnb evolution on TSC. The last four tracks all have some special moments that I cannot wait to start revisiting! Also loving the callbacks to PDA.
This feeds my love of lcd soundsystem type jams, jams in general, and the synth work. Such a special package here that works well for me.
Dunno how many of these tracks we’ll ever see live for the same reason we haven’t seen many B3K songs live; there’s so much extra equipment involved in performing these kind of songs.
? They can just play a recording of what they need live and riff everything else that they can live. Just like they do for a ton of songs. If there’s one thing I know about giz nothing is off the table for seeing it live.
Most songs played live have some sort of aspect that was recorded and played back in order to avoid issues. Sometimes it’s just a backing track . Or weird synth track that they can’t reproduce Live easily. It’s not like they’re playing a whole ass song. Pre-recorded. But they use some pre-recorded bits to assist in everything else. They play live in order to make the song right. And I’m making gizzard at some point. Has played almost everything from their catalog. I know butterfly 3000 is short of love plays but they’ve played more than just Shanghai.
This list of all of their shows and setlists only has Shanghai. I hope I’m wrong about them not playing much of The Silver Cord live. It would be rad if they did an 80s Depeche Mode thing and rocked it out on synths.

Never was a huuuuuge fan of the heavy Gizz stuff (liked Murder of the Universe alright, didn't care for Infest the Rats Nest as much), but this might be a top 5er Gizz album for me. I was a little skeptical of Gila Monster when the single dropped, but I think it sits a lot better in the context of the album.
Stoked for their next album--supposedly more synth heavy, so I image the end of Flamethrower goes into the first track
I really enjoyed my first listen. Definitely a different beast than Infest the Rats Nest. This new album almost seems like a mixture of that album and Ice, Death, etc since this is much proggier. These guys don't miss!
The full name is so ridiculous (in a wonderful way). I also enjoy that all their albums since Rat's Nest have pretty much been in some way about Nature's fury or general Climate Change apocalypse
I literally subscribed to this community to talk about the album. I heard both singles and loved them. Dragon is so good. The riffs are interesting, the song is dynamic and the writing is both brutal and night of tongue-in-cheek.
