I grew up with dogs as part of my family, but have spent the last 35 years solely with cats. Both are loving members of the family, though cats seem (to me) to take more work to make a connection - before they will accept you. In the end, both are equally loved, and when they pass, equally missed.
Boxes are apparently magical. I often pick the boxes I bring home from the store based on a hope that the cats will appreciate them.
Regarding your new friend - s/he is beautiful! Thank you for showing her the best side of humanity...
@NatureMC theoretisch ja, es gibt Mittel, die man geben kann. Gibt glaub ich sogar Halsbänder, die irgendeinen Wirkstoff haben. Man muss auf jeden Fall an die Katze rankommen.
(Die Katze, die mich vor Jahren mal adoptiert hatte, war Freigängerin, aber ohne Parasiten. Deshalb fehlt mir die eindeutige eigene Erfahrung.)
