"There’s a problem with the old Davros: he’s a wheelchair user who is evil. I had problems with that. A lot of us on the production team did too, associating disability with evil... So we made the choice to bring back Davros without the facial scarring and without the wheelchair."
Um, has it occurred to RTD that Every Single Dalek is also "a wheelchair user who is evil"?
@dominicgrant yeah, this is another hot take from RTD that i'm not a fan of. if he wants to go back on the 'people with disabiliteis being evil' trope, maybe have some companions with disabilities. Have some neutral people with disabilities. We should have more poeple with disabilities in doctor who (both actors and characters), not less.
