@randynose I've very rarely done actual commissions. Partially it's the pressure, partially it's simply that most of the time people are requesting something I feel like others will want. Especially true with cat art. There's almost certainly another person down the road who will see the same image and it will remind them of their kitty. I know you already purchased prints but I still think your kitty would be a fun subject. I'm working on another request right now but soon! 😃
@randynose@TywyllSeren My sympathies for your loss but I'm happy to be part of making your space yours. I've never been married but I can empathize a bit. I've been cleaning out things since my father died. I've also started going through my Mom's stuff. She's still living but she won't be coming home again (dementia). Not so much making the space mine but going through decades of their lives as I find the energy.
Grief is a weird thing. It's different for every person. But one thing we all share is the sense of loss. The deeper the bond, the greater the pain. I think.
We've all lost someone whom we've cared about one or the other. I lost a high school friend a few years back, and it hit me in ways I did not expect at all.

I have 8 because my Mom loved them and they brought her happiness when nothing else did. I love cats but honestly caring for this many would not be my first choice. LOL They range in age from 1.5 to 13.

@TywyllSeren@randynose LOL I really don't recommend this many especially for one person. Their basic needs are met but I know they miss Mom who had more time to take up with them.
@randynose@TywyllSeren I vaguely remember it being advertised but didn't start watching it until this past season. I was re-watching Miranda for the thousandth time and a friend asked if I had watched "Call Me Kat" yet. That was when I found out it was based on Miranda. I think Miranda was better but it wasn't bad
@randynose@TywyllSeren PS Funny - we had an outdoor kitty about 15 years ago that Mom called Tux. He was GIANT. I think he was the biggest cat I've seen in person. And he was very feral. He let us feed him but not come within touching distance of him ever. I think my two 13 year old cats are probably his kittens. Their mother was feral but we were able to tame them.
Yeah, two of the outside cats I can't get within touching distance.
The other two come up to me to get their ears scratched. And I've tried letting them in the house a few times but they're not interested in sticking around.
@randynose one of our past outside feral cats my father finally managed to tame her. He was determined because she kept having litters of kittens and we couldn't trap her. He started feeding her and sat closer and closer to the dish until she finally tolerated hm touching her. The funny thing was he wasn't a cat person. And he succeeded where Mom had failed. 😂 @TywyllSeren
