I made it to the "Anomaly" in No Man's Sky #NMS! With my GPU struggling, I tried out PlutoSphere, which lets you run PC #VR games on a cloud gaming computer.
But disaster struck!
Once my tokens for PlutoSphere were exhausted, the machine automatically shutdown and booted me out. This was expected BUT I assumed the save would be automatically uploaded to the cloud. It was not 😱 . Apparently, upload timing is erratic, so you have to manually push the upload when using PlutoSphere. SIGH.
(In case anyone was wondering what I did about this loss of game data: I sucked it up and repeated the--fortunately just 1 hour--session on my struggling but brave laptop. But #NMS randomises basically... everything... so I ended up having to complete my quest on a way rougher planet where I was hunted down by evil senitels, which was difficult as I am NEW and WEAK.
