The Samsung's new feature "Improve Quality" works really well for analog photo scans. I wish I had such a tool on my PC.
And yeah, it's me on the photo. 🙂

Definitely has the slider, I've not tried pure sharpening without upscaling, but did get some half decent results on an old b&w photo of an old house.

@adrinux thanks for the tip, I'll try. The photos have a high resolution, I use 1200 DPI for scanning, so for me it's all about making them sharper without damaging them.
