Congratulations, , on destroying one of the few silver linings of the pandemic. I know of four restaurants that have already gotten rid of their parklets due to the upcoming draconian regulations.

@BruceHalperin They also made it so hard to do the old-style non-commercial, open to the public, parklets. It's like they only expect businesses to use it to create closed rooms with three walls and a roof. That wasn't the idea of parklets

@scott @BruceHalperin If we had wider sidewalks there wouldn't be a scarcity of space requiring competition between different uses. We could have walking and wheelchair access and sidewalk cafes and public benches, all at once! If only there was a ten foot wide strip next to every sidewalk that could be easily converted into usable space...
