Grading an assignment for the course I'm teaching and reminded of a common thing I've seen before - most of the men are turning in like two sentences for a "project proposal" that requires 6 items, while the women are, on average, turning in 3 or 4 paragraphs of a well though-out and detailed proposal.

Like...how do sexist teachers not see plainly that many of their students who are women are just taking their work more seriously and doing better while a lot of men have been taught it's okay to phone it in? Men get favored so much in academia and people entertain the idea that women are less capable because of diversity policies, when they are working harder.

Also, this extends to almost all of my students who are BIPOC too, with them doing more than some of the white students. Like...the bigotry is so transparent in academia, blegh.
