Hey, so I just deleted my reddit account and made the switch to kbin. So i know this is a Star Citizen sub..... magazine.... whatever its called, but could someone please explain how this stuff works? Is there a way I can "follow" the star citizen community, like Reddit?
What parallels between the federverse and reddit exist, to help the transition?
I'm excited to be a part of the SC community on here; i just dont know how the damn thing works, lol.
You can subscribe to magazines. On the sidebar (to the right if on desktop, in the bottom if on mobile) there is a subscribe button to @StarCitizen
Some things are currently different from how they work in reddit:
To save a thread, upvote the original post. It will show up in your favorites
To upvote a thread (make it more visible) you should use boost
The most important thing is that kbin - and all the fediverse - is in flux, and things might/will change in the future, as more code is added and things get more polished.
Gonna miss Port Olisar, really hope they add some quick stop utility stations around the verse that can repair/refuel that have food and water as well.
The murder barge and extra islands on Crusader aren't even thing that I knew I wanted, but they make sense.
I wonder if they are thinking about doing something similar on ArcCorp. They have a bunch of empty buildings there to play with. A reverse tower of terror would be fun too.
Persistence may cause a lot of issues in the short-term, but there's not a lot of games that allow this type of interaction with the game world. I love it so much.
