if zelenskyi knows that jussi got a big grant to make fi-ua-fi dictionary for the university (wasn't it a dictionary?), but instead spent the money to create a far-right hate speech internet platform, he must have been holding his nose when giving jussi the medal.
@outi@HannaEsmeralda_ This is why it was clever for PS to get their person appointed as Speaker. Instantly you're almost the president. You represent the country. Normalisation of your extreme party just pours over you like a tsunami without you having to do anything at all.
it is also one of the sins of the current parliament that i deem the heaviest - a big majority accepted him as a speaker, and even plenty of oppostion mp:s voted in favour of him.
imo it showed such a naivety that those people shouldn't be allowed to be ever again a mp.
@outi@HannaEsmeralda_ it also signals to foreign governments that by praising the Speaker they are doing so with the support of that big parliamentary majority.
@Loukas Yup, but it'd be better if they A) would have given it to someone else; some other Finnish politician with some position B) Give one to Finland when someone else is the (hate) speaker of the house.
