@masukomi So, employers doing this I get, it is in their best interest. But workers adopting this and then going around saying "it's just not good manners to talk about your pay/openly disclose it" are a mystery to me.
Asking them directly why this isn't "good manners" produces muttering and no good answers apart from "it's just not done". I get we have lost most of our class consciousness, but why do those with worse pay join in on this "norm" and why is talking about it so ankward to many?
