Am I "thin foil hatting" with the battery saver Naptime? Or is it now all placebo?

Still installing and rocking the great Naptime by the holy dev Francisco Franco.

The years have passed and I have now a Redmi Note 10 Pro (yeah will not upgrade to the new garbage series) and other phones in family, all with Android 13.

The question is:
are these kind of apps (doze, deep sleep, background killers...) still needed in 2023? Is my battery really benefitting from it or it is all placebo effect?

Are there better alternative? Not only apps, just strategies to relieve my battery consume
