In many ways this is shocking but also not surprising. Many underperforming breweries are closing. It’s tough for the workers. Multinational conglomerates can suck an old sock, though.
Anchor Steam was definitely a gateway beer for me, and then I enjoyed Old Foghorn when I could find it, and many large format Christmas Ale’s made it into my fridge.
Will definitely try it. I really enjoyed Goose Island Bourbon County Northwoods Stout, which was their blueberry-almond variant. That was a delicious beer.
I boycotted Major League Baseball after its ideological commissioner, Rob Manfred, needlessly thrust our beloved national pastime into the nastiness of partisan politics. Manfred and MLB boycotted the city of Atlanta in protest of Georgia’s Republican governor’s new election-integrity laws.
Ah yes, an article about "beer" that opens up with racist right-wing dog whistles. I see what you did there.
I had the same thought while out for groceries the other day. We have the Elysian pumpkin pack and Samuel Adams Octoberfest on Safeway shelves lol. Not sure about Bevmo. I should probably pay their import section a visit, actually. Not a fan of pumpkin, but I like some of the Oktoberfest beers.😁
I do too. Unfortunately the company that makes them screwed me the last couple times i bought from them. And i have maybe 6 of their glasses and I loved their work. But their product quality dropped and their customer service was basically non existent.
This beer is called Very HHHazyyy from Treehouse brewing company. Its a DIIPA. The glass was just called an IPA glass, its a unique style to the company I bought it from.
Got serious into beer almost 15 years ago. Chased them all. Knew the days local distributors dropped off at local stores so I could be there early or first. Would travel did work, visit 2-4 breweries, and come home with a suit case full of muled beer.
Now I’m very happy for a sixer of a nice local crispy boi purchased from the grocery store.
beer!
