This #Blaugust thing I'm hearing about this #blaugust2023 is there a theme to it? Is it about gaming blogging or something? In 50 words or less, what is it about? Just #blogging and #blogs?
@lori It's blogging celebration that encourages bloggers - new and old - to connect and consistently post for the month. Also helps new bloggers get started.
@lori It's mostly gamers taking part but there is no theme. Anybody who blogs is welcome! There are prompts and weekly themes if people want to use them but it's all optional. The focus is on community and uplifting each other. If you even only do one post? Good job! You did a #Blaugust :D
@jaedia@lori It started as a sort of contest but mellowed out into a festival celebrating blogging in general... in part because over the years those of us with long in the tooth blogs (15 years here) noticed that many of our peers were disappearing. So Blaugust serves as a way of celebrating the bloggers who are active and trying to convince more people to be more active :)
