Portland (Oregon) area calligraphers! We're fortunate to be one stop on Spanish calligrapher and tattoo artist Viktor Kams' West Coast tour this spring.
Join us March 2-3 for an in-person weekend workshop at the beautiful Grotto to explore his double-stroke Gothic script!
Workshop cost is $125 (plus $30 membership if you're not in the guild yet). Lunch and supplies are bring-your-own, supply list is at the link.
For my fellow COVID-cautious calligraphers, accommodations are minimal as the guild has mostly "moved on."
I will mask all days. I plan to bring additional masks to hand out. I also hope to bring my air filter and Aranet monitor from home. There are windows that can open.

As an aside, I am one of the few members of the guild who is insistent about not relying on Meta/Amazon/other closed gardens for outreach, recommendations, and interaction.
Please feel free to boost and engage with any and all Portland Society for Calligraphy guild announcements or discussions I or anyone else share! I really want to show that it doesn't have to (and shouldn't) be reliant on walled-garden data-hoarding monopolies.
