What are your favorite magazines on kbin/fediverse?
Hey, I'm new here and still looking for content to subscribe to! I found this magazine (i hope I'm using the terms correctly) and i like this idea of an open chat space.
What type of content do you like? Any recommendations for maybe funny pics and videos or otherwise interesting content?
I would start by checking into the public magazine list. Unfortunately you will find a lot of sparsely populated magazines, but it is up to us to create new content to help make this place worth sticking around for as well. There are however some active ones out there, and I'm sure you will find a few worth subscribing for! That said, thank you so much for contributing this to the community. I'm looking forward to reading others opinions on some of the best communities the fediverse has to offer.
I think it's a bit too early to decide magazines to sub to. In fact, we're so small right now you can quickly scroll through all of newest in a few mins.
Some users have already created the same/m of big Reddit subd, whether they are managed to be the best is up for us to decide. Don't let old expectations hold you back on exploring all the content here.
Funny pic of probably more likely to be in /m/random for the time being, until a new magazine goes bottle l viral.
I personally am tempering my expectations in this regard.
I think people who want to pick up and replace the reddit URL with another and expect the same or similar experience are in for disappointment.
The fediverse is something different. Everyone here has the opportunity to be part of building something they want to see. That doesnt have to be a clone of reddit spaces, although there is nothing stopping people from trying.
That's a valid point and a good reminder, there's never gonna be another reddit.
I'm just happy to find another place i can waste time in other than reddit. I was seriously considering going back to facebook or trying out Twitter...
