Figured we should get some threads going in here since the migration from reddit has started.
Who are you reaching for in this years draft? Who are you avoiding? Do you think running backs will creep up in ADP as soon as home leagues start drafting? Let me hear your hot takes for 2023.
I had Austin Ekeler and Tony Pollard last season and they killed it for me. I'm definitely trying to get either of them or both. I'm also going to try to grab a badass QB/receiver combo to stack up points.
So I had the number 2 draft of team of my league. I won 3 games. Came in either last one one above the the guy who quit playing I don't remember. Anyway, I'm not here to give advice. But I will harvest the information in hopes of not coming in last again 🤣
It starts with a solid draft. The cards will fall however they fall, but don't always rely on how well a player performed last season. Sometimes you gotta go with your gut. Then you have to be meticulous every Tuesday setting your lineup straight for the following week. This includes checking who is on a bye week, claiming any free agents you think could outperform or fill a void that week (or longer) and picking the right starters who will perform best. The last one is basically luck of the draw. Just because some nobody TE has one great game, doesn't mean he will do that every week. So you have to be weary of your moves. I like to check around the forums of teams to see if they have the inside scoop on a player's injury too. That one paid off for me last season. Two seasons ago I won the Ship, last season 2nd place (10 man PPR league). I'm no expert, but I've gotten the hang of it.
