We have a motion activated sprinkler to deter deer from eating our tomatoes and I’m looking for a timer that will shut off the water flow during the day. The ones I’ve seen at the store seem to only want to water intermittently, instead of completely off/on. Does anyone know of one?
So my home office is in our basement while my wife’s is in a finished attic space. We have a mini split system, but it has to be all heat or all cooling, and many days it’s cold in my office, but hot in my wife’s office....

So I was using a wood sealer (www.amazon.com/dp/B01AQTX3XU) on my newly built catio. Unfortunately I didn’t notice how much I had sprayed on the adjacent window....
Looking for help in solving a problem where the lower door hinge pin on my entry door keeps creeping up and causing the deadbolt to become slightly misaligned making it more difficult to lock. Reading online, I keep coming across suggestions of tightening a screw that’s supposed to lock the pin in place but my hinges don’t...

Our laundry room sink has this bizarre attachment to to the back of the drain line clean out. It would almost seem like it was or is supposed to be a vent. Recently it’s started to give off a foul sewer smell when our washing machine rinses....
The flippers who installed the plastic shower liner only cut the faucet handle holes big enough for the stems and I need to replace the cartridges. I used a jab saw for one but that sucked, what kind of Dremel bit can I use?
I bought a mostly livable fixer upper. The previous attempt to renovate the bathroom themselves and really made some mistakes I don’t know how to fix. They replaced the vanity (already damaged cosmetically) and tiled one wall. There is dried grout everywhere. On the wall, the molding, the vanity (which is grouted in) on the...
So I’m planning out a bathroom remodel and part of that is replacing the vent fan because currently mine is just venting into my attic (no bueno). I know normally bathrooms are vented out through the roof but my bathroom is on an exterior wall so I was wondering if I could just vent it out the side of the house. I’m going to...
I’m cleaning this cabinet above the range/micro and noticed this mark on the back. I mostly keep cooking oils, vinegars, etc in here. Does this look serious?...
I’ve been noticing an occasional sewer smell in my bathroom, and finally realized it’s only present when it’s below freezing outside. As soon as the weather warms up, the smell goes away. For reference, my house was built in '55 and the toilet is plumbed into the original steel sewer line. There are no leaks (everything...

Homeowner with a decent amount of handiness but wondering if I’m going to bite off more than I can chew. Is it worth it to try and remove the old shower tub combo and replace it with a new one pretty much by myself? I realize this is a bit of a loaded question and can’t really be answered without knowing my skills but if...
