Dodecahedron with pockets (modified a pattern from Jun Maekawa’s book)

I can never have too many pockets.

FrannaCotta,

@fractalkitty Excellent, crisp folding, and that's gorgeous paper too! Where is it from?

@FrannaCotta thanks! I think this pattern is from a Tuttle pack I had to use in groups. One thing I like to do once I fold a new pattern is make a smaller version- how small can it go? My daughter and I at on point had pinky nail sized cranes.

BTW - the monotile dress is amazing!

FrannaCotta,

@fractalkitty I love Jun Maekawa's books too, you should try his fractal pyramid design from Genuine Origami. Depending on the paper size and your patience, you can add more iterations to the base design and create a really amazing piece. Glad you like the dress 😊

@fractalkitty Jun Maekawa, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time!

@fractalkitty Beautiful! I whipped these bad boys up the other day off a tutorial I found on YouTube.
