Consider that every politician in Uvalde got reelected. Cops can do whatever they want.
The only ray of hope I’ve seen is here in Missouri, where a cop is currently behind bars for killing someone with impunity, but our governor is considering a plea for clemency. Since our governor is termed out, I’m 100% sure said cop is going to get a last-day pardon.
