The curious joy of being wrong https://theconversation.com/the-curious-joy-of-being-wrong-intellectual-humility-means-being-open-to-new-information-and-willing-to-change-your-mind-216126

Intellectual humility isn’t lacking conviction; you can believe something strongly until your mind is changed, and you believe something else. It also isn’t being wishy-washy. You should have a high bar for what evidence you require to change your mind.

@jcolag being "wrong" seems a less than ideal framing to me. I was brought up to believe human life was sacred, and therefore that abortion was always "wrong". Later I decided that forced pregnancy was more wrong, and revised my views accordingly. There's right and "wrong" according one's own beliefs and what's legitimate to impose on others, which is, or can be, a different matter entirely.
