A repost (from Reddit) of a project I finished last summer. It's made from the excess of a (nicer portion) of a slab that a friend cut using an Alaskan sawmill. Edges are chamfered using a circular saw. Knot and void are filled with a scrap from the slab + epoxy. Legs (and epoxy) were purchased from Amazon. Finish is danish oil...
It's not as well executed or fancy as most of the posts here, but dad likes it, so that's what counts.
I've got ~10 full sheets of .5" construction grade plywood taking up space in my garage. I've already built a climbing wall for the kids and a new scrap bin....
Best part about woodworking is getting furniture exactly the size and shape you want. Holds all my long glasses!...
Walnut and white oak, Danish oil finish.
I posted this on Reddit awhile back when I finished the build.. but thought I would share on here in an effort to get to know people! Hope that's allowed....
Big box lumber and finishes.
Couldn’t upload multiple images, but used walnut with maple splines. First time using splines, very happy with how it turned out
I finally finished the dresser I've been working on (it's #2 of 2, built to fit in our closet). No drawer slides, just paste wax, and made pretty much entirely from plywood and glue....
Raised garden beds being put to use!
I started this project in August 2020 and after a few weeks when I was just about finished assembling the pieces it fell off my work bench and broke into dozens of fragments that I then threw into the corner of my shop out of frustration. There it sat quietly judging me and haunting me for almost 3 years until I got tired of it...
Took a few weeks and minimal costs... EVERYTHING fits!

Was suggested to crosspost this here! Happy to see a woodworking community on Lemmy!
Another of my projects!
Working it.
Thread title. I've been starting up this as a hobby, but am now interested in making things out of nicer wood than the fir you can find in Home Depot. Google will return big box stores, but personal recommendations are better. Where do you guys sources your lumber?
Apparently this one is for flower petals. It's made from scraps of spruce and a very hasty (and as I discovered later, incorrect) drawing, but at 10ft it's looks pretty good if I do saw so myself. All the bevels were done with a chisel and sand paper.
