@jake4480 yes, exactly! Someone gets it. This is why I compulsively write things down.

The only downside is that later I have to go through all the random junk I wrote down.

@ektotherm hahaha THIS! Going through it - for real. As long as I make myself remember to go through it, it's okay. Same with images, music and video. Gotta sort and delete.

@jake4480 I recently started using Obsidian to jot down my thoughts, I can sync it between my phone and computer pretty easily. Early returns on the experience are looking good. Highly recommend, and great post

@rootcompute oh nice! And thanks! I'm gonna have to check Obsidian haha. Cuz yeah I've tried a lot, from Remember the Milk which I still dig, Evernote never stuck for me, etc. I use a mix, Samsung Notes is a big one, or throwing it in Jetpack for a blog draft idea, or GDrive, which I'd love to ditch, but the Proton one doesn't support editing the documents via the drive itself like GDrive does (sigh haha) - I hope they add that. If they do, I could fully switch over. Or just paper! I do that some too. I do use Trello for recipes.

@jake4480 Its built in sync is paywalled but since it outputs plain text files you can sync it with a third party program. I've installed so many note apps on my phone in the past so hopefully this is the last one I need lol. You can certainly never go wrong with paper!
