The temptation to make a custom character renderer so that I can for my pixel art game make a "Unwrapped version" and then make it a mapping texture that puts all the colors from that map into place. The benefit would be for many characters I would then have to make only 1 unwrapped NPC and the mapper texture would still work and make all the animations and stuff. Basically make all the sprites once and it will be easy to work
