Does it just work through Google accounts? Not OP but it sounds neat

I actually forgot to add this. A few weeks later while they were out of their unit a group that manages their fire suppression system came by as part of routine inspection of the building and they didn’t mention anything. I don’t know if they would normally say something but I feel like if it was bad enough they probably should have.

I mean they have a few boardgames under their coffee table.

dbzer0 has the largest piracy community and should meet all your needs

CorrodedCranium,
@CorrodedCranium@leminal.space avatar

I think it depends what you are looking for but I think a solid rule of thumb is to look at what communities you interact with the most and see what instances they belong to.

If piracy is specifically what you are after I’d go for dbzer0. If it’s NSFW content that kind of complicates things.

I decided to give leminal.space a try and I like it. The admins are nice and quick to deal with issues and make posts about changes in the instance.

That’s the instance I was using originally until they had the domain name issue. I’ve had issues getting their website to load and for some reason it’s on uBlock Origin’s EasyList.

Could be but I feel like they would have had their other website taken down if that was the case. I hope they address it in their monthly update post in September.

Can anyone think of an example of a game released moved back to release earlier?

The Steam Deck is changing how normies think of gaming PCs.

Just thought I’d share something I thought was pretty interesting. I have a mother in law who is… well let’s just say she’s a stereotypical older mom who doesn’t own a computer, just an iPad. During the pandemic, she started getting into Nintendo games and bought herself a Switch. Fast forward a few years later and...

Even so it made it significantly harder for people to make the dated throwaway comment that you’ll lose access to a majority of your games by switching to Linux.

With that I feel like people will see it’s just as usable as MacOS and Windows in a majority of circumstances.

CorrodedCranium,
@CorrodedCranium@leminal.space avatar

I’m not too sure. I used to browse /r/MacGaming despite not owning a Mac but I lost of track of things when they killed 32 bit support

VR headsets and games with anti-cheat software still have issues. I haven’t been able to get Oculus Rift S to work for example.

I think some headsets like the ones made by Valve and HTC work better though. I’m not sure if there’s currently the same degree of rapid advancements for VR Linux gaming as there are for gaming in general on Linux. I know OpenHMD exists but I haven’t tried it out myself.

Have you tried using the PSVR on your computer?

CorrodedCranium,
@CorrodedCranium@leminal.space avatar

I would have linked an article. I haven’t experimented with it myself but it seems like there’s one paid project available through Steam that aims to support the PSVR

CorrodedCranium,
@CorrodedCranium@leminal.space avatar

Me too. Messing around with hardware is something that’s always stuck with me from when I was a teenager. If you give the PSVR thing a test mind messaging me or commenting so I can hear how it goes?

Riesen, to random

What are your thoughts? How often do you think the government should redesign paper money?

CorrodedCranium,
@CorrodedCranium@leminal.space avatar

Do you mean what’s printed on it? The physical design like the shape/ratio? Or how we use and approach physical currency?

Does Lemmy.world have a policy against piracy? It seems like several instances have piracy related communities and a lot of users from elsewhere post to them.

Never mind just saw a screenshot with context.

CorrodedCranium,
@CorrodedCranium@leminal.space avatar

Sure thing. I posted a photo in another comment just a little further down but basically Lemmy.World blocked a couple piracy communities across different instances to protect themselves and their users.

PCGamingWiki for any older or less popular games.

I feel like you’d run into similar stuff anywhere you go. That’s why there are kids profiles. I imagine Netflix at least does a better job routing out suggestive content than YouTube does.

I mean fair enough. I like them for the extra challenge and giving me a ballpark of how far I’ve progressed and how much I’ve played.

Any tips for someone who has been debating on getting into Stardew Valley?
