DudeDudenson,

Sure let’s just give up because other people had it “easier”

DudeDudenson,

You guys can be as woke as you want but 4chan humor has that special something

DudeDudenson,

I live in a country where carrying weapons isn’t a thing. But being that it’s lawfull in the country where this comic is supposedly happening can you imagine walking into a bar and some random chick starts screaming at you like that?

Imagine if instead of a chick screaming about the guy it would be a guy screaming about a chick with purple hair?

DudeDudenson,

Honestly I’ll take the down votes over keeping to myself, some things just need to be said.

I’m not defending the people who open carry, I’m just pointing out how promoting hate and outrage can’t be justified just because you agree with this particular case

DudeDudenson,

It pisses me off that they’re calling quantum data transmission quantum entanglement, it’s not the same thing and it’s misleading as fuck.

Quantum entanglement is about two quantum particles sharing the same state which if implemented somehow would allow for universal communication with no time lag. Sending quantum state communication through fiber optic, while an achievement for distributed quantum computing, is not quantum entanglement!!

DudeDudenson,

But artificial intelligence has always been a murky definition and we’ve been using it for similar stuff (emulating seemingly sentient behaviors) for decades

DudeDudenson,

The domain for my country is .ar and most sites that use said domain use .com.ar

Someone registered com under the .com.ar domain so if you add .com.ar to any url that ends in .com you get redirected to their adware site

DudeDudenson,

Soo they’re analyzing them as you speak and sending the result to the cloud?

With a full transcript for debugging purposes of course!

DudeDudenson,

Good, HR will have to go back to sending their communications to our work emails instead of expecting us to browse the company’s Facebook to keep up to date

DudeDudenson,

The base version of IntelliJ is FOSS, and they kinda offer perpetual licenses for their paid applications. If you subscribe for an entire year, you get a perpetual fallback license. It’s just a license for an older version of the software, but you get to keep it forever. …jetbrains.com/…/207240845-What-is-a-perpetual-fa…

You know that any software that requires a login or can update on its own can be bricked at a moment’s notice if someone in legal or accounting changes their mind about the whole “perpetual” thing.

DudeDudenson,

What you didn’t put googling as one of your skills in linked in?

DudeDudenson,

We have squirrels in my country but I’ve never seen one in person to be frank. If you’ve lived in a heavily populated area your entire life then it’s not uncommon you’d be surprised to see common wildlife out and about

DudeDudenson,

I’d use Hitler for a meme if it was funny, using an image of a person doesn’t mean you agree or even are aware of who that person is or what their beliefs are

Sometimes you just gotta let go of all that useless hate and enjoy things at face value

DudeDudenson,

“Baby don’t bomb me, don’t bomb me, no more”

DudeDudenson,

Steam pulled regional pricing from my country not so long ago. You bet your ass sales went way down and people who were buying games because it was easier just went back to pirating them at that point.

Like you expect someone in south America who makes a tenth of what someone in the US makes to pay the same prices (actually more than the same since this country has like 70% tax on “imported” digital services), get real

DudeDudenson,

750$ worth of dlcs that should had been features from the start anyone?

DudeDudenson,

If you’re doing it live with another person what’s most important is explaining your reasoning and speaking through your solution. When the test is being supervised by a qualified programmer then the objective isn’t to see how you solve that specific problem but rather how you reason trough stuff

If it’s just an unsupervised timed test just cheat as much as you want since the test is bullshit and most likely has nothing to do with the job you’re actually applying for.

DudeDudenson, (edited )

Make tons of money as a software dev and get a big collection of tools and retire early to Spend the rest of your days as far away from software as you can

DudeDudenson,

I never understood techies that do climbing, how are their wrists not completely fucked adding that kind of exercise to the usual tech problems??

DudeDudenson, (edited )

It’s all fun and games until you realize modern farm equipment has more shitty tech in it than the datacenters you’re running away from

DudeDudenson,

Interesting, I still weight 116kg so climbing isn’t an option for me but I would have expected it to make the wrist injuries worse

DudeDudenson,

In my experience in lemmy these same people have a very big problem with you not sharing their communist views

DudeDudenson,

Frankly I just blocked sub by sub and user by user because otherwise you might lose out on non political content.

Basically every time you see a sub that’s full of political content you block the sub and if you see a political post of a sub that is mostly ok you just block the OP

Afaik there are specific instances where most of these users gather but I didn’t go that route because I wanted to avoid blocking legitimate stuff as much as possible
