Gisteren verscheen ook het jaarverslag van de met daarin weer de aantallen gerichte taps: die daalden van 1930 in 2022 naar 1117 in 2023, zodat een vreemde golfbeweging is ontstaan:

De heeft zijn webgrafiek nog niet geupdate, maar uit hun jaarverslag blijkt dat het aantal gerichte taps explosief is gestegen, namelijk van 704 in 2022 naar 2666 in 2023...!

In zijn inleiding merkte Constant Hijzen op dat buitenstaanders nooit zeker zullen weten wat geheime diensten precies doen - grappig is dat die diensten zelf ook bijna nooit zeker weten wat hun targets van plan zijn

Het plv hoofd van de zei dat haar dienst erg hecht aan transparantie en het afleggen van politieke verantwoording - van dat laatste is in Nederland echter nauwelijks sprake, anders dan bijv. in de VS waar het parlement zelf de inlichtingendirecteuren ondervraagt
