FrostyTheDoo,

Lindsey Graham supports Ukraine

Lindsey Graham doesn’t hold a single real position on any issue, other than “what currently benefits me the most?”

FrostyTheDoo,

Nope I just completely made it up off the top of my head to be a silly guy. Lindsey actually has an impeccable track record of never flip flopping his words or voting against his own stated stances on issues. It’s why he’s known as one of the greatest and most reputable congresspersons of our generation. He’s more than earned the benefit of the doubt wouldn’t you say?

FrostyTheDoo, (edited )

Nope I completely made it up! Certainly Lindsey Graham will never change his stance on Ukraine, that would be a silly thing to think given his historic track record of staying on the same side of issues. I should continue reading and believing things that Lindsey Graham says

FrostyTheDoo,

Oh but you and I agree. We both love defending Lindsey Graham and giving him the benefit of the doubt because he’s earned it. Keep on fighting the good fight brother

FrostyTheDoo, (edited )

One point of clarification friend. I never said Lindsey does not support Ukraine. I said his reason for supporting anything is always self-serving, which there is mountains of evidence of. You could wave your hand and do the centrist “whatabout” all politicians being self-serving. But the fact is that Lindsey Graham is one of the most obvious modern examples of flip flopping on issues to benefit himself. If you have a counter example I’d love to read about it.

My original point is that it really doesn’t matter what someone like Lindsey says or supports today, because it will change with the wind tomorrow (when he’s up for election usually)

You took what I said and made a beautiful little Blue MAGA strawman out of it.

FrostyTheDoo,

Oh I get it now, you can’t read :(

FrostyTheDoo,

Do you have any evidence that’s what I’m doing? I didn’t declare victory. You definitely won this argument!!! I had no chance competing against such an onslaught of arguments unrelated to what I actually said to begin with. I loved the part where you made up a belief system and aspects of my personality at the same time you argued for evidence based conclusions. It really drove your point home! I understand everything clearly now

FrostyTheDoo,

You’re very welcome, I somehow forgot for some people the most important thing is to hear “you won” and not actually comprehending the conversation. With that context, your previous comments make even more sense. I didn’t stand a chance

FrostyTheDoo,

And if their judge was appointed Trump, such as Aileen Cannon?

FrostyTheDoo, (edited )

I said “such as”, because Trump appointed a lot more judges than just her. She’s presiding over one of his current cases and is doing everything she can to help Trump. It’s more than possible that could happen on future cases against Trump’s rivals.

FrostyTheDoo,

So, money the company was never going to make anyway then, got it.

FrostyTheDoo,

Unfortunately that’s not the correct solution. When we start taking away citizens’ rights to participate in their public democratic government, we no longer have a public democratic government. Down the line, you would lose your right to vote as well, for a reason that you think is bullshit. And it would be bullshit, just like it’s bullshit to suggest removing voting rights from Trump supporters.

FrostyTheDoo,

That’s the trillion dollar question man, and I honestly don’t know the answer.

My approach is to try be a rational voice that people in my circle feel comfortable talking to about anything, and telling them honestly and assertively when they’re not making sense or when they’re spouting harmful rhetoric (sort of what I did in my first reply to you here). It is exhausting and demoralizing, but I have found that when given the opportunity, people do trust their friends and family more than the random angry Russian people in their phone.

We have to engage with these people and try to help them, because they are going to vote and raise children in our country either way.

FrostyTheDoo,

I won’t pretend to be as calm and rational as I’m presenting myself in this thread, all of the time. But I do try, and when I fail I try to learn something from it

FrostyTheDoo,

I’m not tolerating intolerance. I’m saying stripping voting rights from people is not the right answer. I’m really not sure how you got that twisted…it seems that you agree that removing voting rights and ending democracy would be a bad thing. Yet you’re advocating for it anyway? Can you explain that position a bit more clearly?

In my opinion you should spend your political capital and energy on influencing others to vote for candidates you support, rather than spending it advocating for the end of democratic voting in America.

FrostyTheDoo,

What does he do when multiple people order for delivery at once?

FrostyTheDoo,

Badass, sounds like it’s worth the wait

FrostyTheDoo,

And they rely on selling both to be profitable. But now their customers are used to not buying the latter (random crap) so that they can afford the former. And the retailers are realizing they may not begin buying random crap again even when prices decrease, because life without the random crap isn’t much different.

IRS makes free tax return program permanent and is asking all states to join in 2025 (apnews.com)

The IRS said Thursday it will make permanent the free electronic tax return filing system that it experimented with this year and is asking all 50 states and the District of Columbia to help taxpayers file their returns through the program in 2025....

FrostyTheDoo,

Can’t wait for the governor of my state to vilify this as socialism and block it for her constituents because it might benefit even a single poor person.

FrostyTheDoo,

Bingo!

FrostyTheDoo,

I’m realizing I should have actually named and shamed her directly now, but I’m glad (and sad) that it wasn’t too difficult to figure it out.

Kim Reynolds is a bright red boil on the cancerous tumor that is the Iowa Republican party.

FrostyTheDoo,

How could this knock Cannon off the bench? I haven’t heard anything about that yet but if it’s a realistic possibility that’s a sweet ass cherry on top

FrostyTheDoo,

Scraped my car tire rim on a curb the other day and mashing Ctrl + Z in my brain for minutes afterwards :(

FrostyTheDoo,

I see one such comment, which is in response to Iran blaming the US, and to me reads as a sarcastic retort to a ridiculous claim by Iran
